For nearly 40 years, THE BEVIS FROND have maintained a thriving recording and touring career, supported by an avid, ever growing, global fanbase, despite almost complete disinterest from the music industry. An unclassifiable mix of pop melodies, punk aggression, guitar licks, folk, blues and psychedelic rock, their music has been covered by a host of musicians including the Lemonheads, Teenage Fanclub, Elliot Smith and Juliana Hatfield, while bands like Pavement and Dinosaur Jr all point to them as pioneers of indie distribution models.
Songwriter Nick Saloman, achieved his goal of never having to get a regular job while creating some of the most eclectic music of the last 4 decades – explosive, transcendental and exquisite.
