Minimal Schlager

Based between London and Berlin, Minimal Schlager stand at the crossroads between Italo disco, the darker corners of new wave and forgotten sounds from the dive clubs of Berlin. Following on from their debut Love, Sex and Dreams and described by UNCUT as a “classy synthpop melodrama” – the band went on a European tour performing 30 dates across 8 countries and supporting the likes of The KVB, Ploho, Torres and Lust for Youth. In 2023, the band produced Dance is a Place of Resilience – a compilation collecting newly released reworks, remixes, demos and covers – a sweet spot somewhere between desire and the dancefloor.
In 2024 Minimal Schlager returned to SXSW in Austin (USA) for a staggering 7 performances in 6 days, including a sold-out show at the Italians Do It Better showcase where they introduced new material.
