Mere Women

Hypnotic, unsettling, intense, angular and dark. Mere Women’s brand of unique post punk makes them one of the most exciting acts currently releasing music in Australia. The Sydney-based four piece have taken to the stage with a huge range of International and local pop, rock and punk acts and are well known for their fierce live show. The group have now released three full length LP's and are set to release their fourth album March 5th 2021.

Their 2017 LP Big Skies explored themes of women’s experiences over generations and the simultaneous isolation and confinement felt by many women living in regional communities. The release expresses feelings of been penned in, chained to family responsibilities and unable to break away from tradition. The tracks are haunting, restless and impeccably composed – a claustrophobic journey through wide open spaces.

The album gained national and international accolades and saw the band alter their foundations sonically and emotionally. With strong media support across Australia, Mere Women received Best Record nominations for Sydney Music Arts and Culture (Fbi Radio) and an Australian Music Prize. Amongst a long list of radio stations nationwide it was also played on Triple J, added to rotation on Double J and made album of the week on Fbi Radio. The album was followed by two successful tours of Australia and New Zealand

I'm the director of a wonderful small web design company, based in a small village called Cromarty in the Highlands of Scotland. If you'd like a website built by a nice team of reliable people, most of whom have been building websites for well over 20 years, get in touch. We would love to help you.

If you host your website with us, we'll plant at least one tree a year (probably a few more), each and every year when we send you our invoice.

If this sounds good, pop over to our own website and get in touch. Jamie, Colin, Garve, Sandy or Gill will be happy to help you. If you're in the North of Scotland, pop in for a tea or coffee and we'll get you a nice bun to wash it down with, made by the fantastic folk of Cromarty Bakery.
