Le Superhomard

Le SuperHomard is Christophe Vaillant, a french musician with a history of mod-styled formations, like the band The Strawberry Smell and Pony Taylor.

Between 2015 and 2018 he released a few EPs for the Japanese label Rallye Records and the British label Megadodo. His first EP named Maple Key was also released in the US at Jigsaw Records, as well as in tape format on Melotron Records. His music has been played on the BBC by Gideon Coe, Amy Lamé or Stuart Maconie with some very nice columns in the press.

In 2018 Vaillant signed with Elefant Records label and released "Springtime EP", an advance of Meadow Lane Park , his debut LP, released at the beginning of 2019. These releases showcase his abilities and his great use of synthesizers. Echoes of Stereolab, resonances of electronic pop, of synth-pop and soft-pop, orchestral arrangements with a lounge spirit, with the level of inspiration of Air, The Gentle People, Giorgio Tuma, The High Llamas, The United States Of America, Esquivel!, Komeda, Barbara Moore, Jean-Jacques Perrey, Saint Etienne and much more.
On all of these records, Christophe invited different singers (Pandora Burgess, Xavier Boyer from Tahiti 80, Julie Big) but also recorded many instrumental songs.
The LP received critical acclaim worldwide. Paul Weller himself picked it as one of his faves of 2019 and invited Le SuperHomard on his 2020 european tour (unfortunately later cancelled due to the pandemic) and asked Christophe to remix his "On Sunset" song.

I'm the director of a wonderful small web design company, based in a small village called Cromarty in the Highlands of Scotland. If you'd like a website built by a nice team of reliable people, most of whom have been building websites for well over 20 years, get in touch. We would love to help you.

If you host your website with us, we'll plant at least one tree a year (probably a few more), each and every year when we send you our invoice.

If this sounds good, pop over to our own website and get in touch. Jamie, Colin, Garve, Sandy or Gill will be happy to help you. If you're in the North of Scotland, pop in for a tea or coffee and we'll get you a nice bun to wash it down with, made by the fantastic folk of Cromarty Bakery.
