Julian Casablancas

Julian Casablancas, is the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the seminal rock band The Strokes. The Strokes rose to fame with their debut album Is This It (2001), and the band's raw, energetic sound and Casablancas' distinct vocal style quickly made them icons in the indie rock scene.

Julian has appeared on the cover of nearly all major music publications, including Rolling Stone, headlined all the major festivals around the world, done multiple legendary TV performances on shows such as Saturday Night Live, and won multiple Grammy awards.

Beyond The Strokes, Casablancas has explored a variety of musical genres. He founded the experimental rock band The Voidz in 2013, pushing boundaries with albums like Tyranny (2014) and Virtue (2018). Known for his deep, often introspective lyrics, Casablancas' work with The Voidz delves into more avant-garde and socially conscious themes.

In addition to his band projects, Casablancas has collaborated with other artists, most notably Daft Punk. His feature on the track "Instant Crush" from their album Random Access Memories (2013) showcased his versatility.

Casablancas is also the founder and head of the independent label Cult Records.

I'm the director of a wonderful small web design company, based in a small village called Cromarty in the Highlands of Scotland. If you'd like a website built by a nice team of reliable people, most of whom have been building websites for well over 20 years, get in touch. We would love to help you.

If you host your website with us, we'll plant at least one tree a year (probably a few more), each and every year when we send you our invoice.

If this sounds good, pop over to our own website and get in touch. Jamie, Colin, Garve, Sandy or Gill will be happy to help you. If you're in the North of Scotland, pop in for a tea or coffee and we'll get you a nice bun to wash it down with, made by the fantastic folk of Cromarty Bakery.
