jellyskin are a seafaring duo formed of Zia and Will, plus their bank of bastardised drum samples and found sound. Their music combines abrasive techno, sinewy electronica, sparkling percussion and cut-glass vocals, drawing on influences from sixties girl groups and the chansonnier tradition to pummeling electronics, PC Music and kosmische.
Through merging pickled industrial beats with spiky guitar lines, lush harmonies and striking synth leads, the duo have gained a reputation for remaining stubbornly genreless. jellyskin’s debut album ‘In Brine’ was released in June 2023, and has already gained traction via 6Music plays and a live session for Riley & Coe.
