New York’s Garlands first unleashed their style of jangly indie pop in the late ’90s with the release of a self-titled cassette and the Just the Verses vinyl single. Those releases were followed by various compilation appearances, including releases by Shelflife Records, Blackbean & Placenta Records, and Sealed Fate Records. In 1999, the six-song (Picnic, Lightning) was released on Mister Records. The disc was instantly compared to ’80s Brit-pop. They were featured on March Records’ Reproductions: Songs of the Human League with their cover of “Being Boiled” in 2000. In 2001, Michigan’s Audiopants Records featured their version of Smokey Robinson’s “The Tracks of My Tears” on the compilation Shoop Dee Doop: A Tribute to Motown. ~ Stephen Cramer, Rovi

I'm the director of a wonderful small web design company, based in a small village called Cromarty in the Highlands of Scotland. If you'd like a website built by a nice team of reliable people, most of whom have been building websites for well over 20 years, get in touch. We would love to help you.
If you host your website with us, we'll plant at least one tree a year (probably a few more), each and every year when we send you our invoice.
If this sounds good, pop over to our own website and get in touch. Jamie, Colin, Garve, Sandy or Gill will be happy to help you. If you're in the North of Scotland, pop in for a tea or coffee and we'll get you a nice bun to wash it down with, made by the fantastic folk of Cromarty Bakery.
