Teenage Waitress

Teenage Waitress is the solo project from Southampton’s Daniel J. Ash. In Ash’s own words TW is a “collection of other people’s stories set to what I hope are some instantly hummable tunes. Because it's just me, my producer and a laptop there aren't really any rules. There's no primary genre. I'll write a song, take it to the studio and if it feels special enough, we'll get the dress up box out and work out the most interesting way that we can present it!"

The debut album Love & Chemicals was released in 2020. It was described as “nothing short of genius” by Louder Than War and “a musical highlight of 2020" by CLASH. The album featured in MOJO Magazine and Tim’s Twitter Listening Party.

Ash’s second album Your Cuckoo was released in June 2023. Ash celebrated with a tour playing record shops and venues up and down the country. Some of them still have their windows. The LP received positive reviews and was later crowned Louder Than War's 10th best album of 23.

In 2024 Ash plans to release his third album, a book on songwriting and his own pasta sauce.

“A pop alchemist par excellence. An album full of gleaming nest eggs 4/5” SHINDIG!
“Irresistible melodies and eloquent lyrics. Brilliant, bold and expansive 8/10” CLASH
“A 21st Century 'The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society'. It’s a joy from start to finish and hands down my favourite album of 2023 so far.” Louder Than War

I'm the director of a wonderful small web design company, based in a small village called Cromarty in the Highlands of Scotland. If you'd like a website built by a nice team of reliable people, most of whom have been building websites for well over 20 years, get in touch. We would love to help you.

If you host your website with us, we'll plant at least one tree a year (probably a few more), each and every year when we send you our invoice.

If this sounds good, pop over to our own website and get in touch. Jamie, Colin, Garve, Sandy or Gill will be happy to help you. If you're in the North of Scotland, pop in for a tea or coffee and we'll get you a nice bun to wash it down with, made by the fantastic folk of Cromarty Bakery.
